NEXSW Tour 2023: Elk Garden

Another day to enjoy the great outdoors! We drove up to the Elk Garden trailhead, only about 15 minutes from our rental cottage, and hiked a loop of almost 6 miles. Despite the name, no, we did not see any elk. There were cows, however. I could wax poetic about the scenery, but instead I'll just post some pictures here.

In the evening, we went into town and had dinner at the Damascus Old Mill Inn. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed feeding the ducks in the river below. The restaurant actually provides little containers of duck food!

After dinner we wandered around the town (very small and quiet) and I snapped photos of some of the murals.
