Emerging from winter hibernation at Lake Anna Winery

After taking off the entire month of January, we kicked off the 2019 season on Saturday with the "Winter Soup and Song" series at Lake Anna Winery.

To my great surprise, one of my best friends showed up from northern Virginia with her partner and her little kid, bearing early birthday gifts for me. Yay!

Honestly? I was kinda nervous for the first set, just because we hadn't played in so long. But we had a great crowd and I was relaxed by the second set. Wine probably helped...

We debuted two brand new songs ("Blue" and "My name is June") that I just wrote in January, and they went over well. I was going to try to record them, but of course forgot.
